That’s what I hear from many Republicans who want to start winning big races in Connecticut again. It’s a great question that needs an answer.
In 2010, Republican candidates swept most of the country by fighting for conservative principles and commonsense solutions. Voters rejected President Obama’s deficit spending, nationalized healthcare and “cap-and-trade” energy tax. The GOP picked up more seats in Congress than in any year since the 1920s.
But in Connecticut, Democrats won every federal and statewide office – including the governorship for the first time in two decades. The outcome was a Democratic monopoly that is hurting families and taxpayers in our state.
There is no reason why The Constitution State should suffer under one-party rule. I believe Republicans can win in Connecticut again by building support at the grassroots level and by running on a positive message about the future of America.
Connecticut needs leaders with real-life experience who know what they believe in. As your candidate for Congress, I will fight for limited government, pro-growth economic policies, national security and strong families.
In 2012, Republicans will win in Connecticut if concerned citizens like you get involved. You can help us change the face of politics in our state by volunteering your time, by making a secure online contribution or by forwarding this message to a friend.
Our mission is to win this seat and renew America’s greatness. I hope you will join us today.
Sincerely,
Justin Bernier
